Orust Tvärs Trail Run offers a breathtaking and highly undulating course of 27 km that stretches from Morlanda on the western side of Orust to Svanesund in the east, and is part of the Coastal Path Bohuslän. The race primarily takes place on small trails in varied terrain, with only 400 meters of asphalt. Participants can choose between two distances: 27 km and 16 km, and there are water stations along the route. The race, which starts at the Lerklev parking lot in Morlanda, attracts runners from all over Sweden and features a mass start with timing.

Highlights

  • The race is one of Sweden's most beautiful and perhaps toughest trail runs, where 90% of the distance is on paths through varied nature.
  • The first prize awarded is the Mountain Prize, which goes to the first man and woman to reach Svens Altare, a steep ascent of about 2 km.
  • At the finish line, food and drinks are provided, which are included in the entry fee, and there are three hydration stations with water and sports drink.
